Directed by Gonzalo Pardo, its practice focuses on the research and development of singular architectural projects of different scales ranging from urban planning to buildings or interior construction.
The common denominator of its work is a playful, experimental, critical and optimistic look at contemporaneity, with the premise of sustainability as the axis. In a constant dialogue based on observation and details, their interest focuses on the creative processes of architectural design and construction, as well as on the role of architectural mediation and communication as fundamental vehicles for the transformation of the world into a more ecological, inclusive, dignified and free place.
Since its beginings the studio has won multiple national and international awards, including first prizes such as the competition for the design of the Archaeological Center of Lancia in León in 2021 (in process); the COAM award in 2014 for the Paréntesis curatorial cycle; honorable mention in the Europan 14 competition at the Barcelona site in 2017, and finalist in the FAD Architecture and Design 2020 awards. gon's projects and built work have been widely reported in national and international media.
The office is currently developing projects in Spain, such as the Archaeological Center, a multi-family building in Palma de Mallorca and several renovations in Madrid, as well as single-family homes in France, Portugal and the Netherlands.
