Architectural Studio Polisgram Architects, was founded in 2016 by Louisa Varelidi and Stella Papazoglou. Louisa Varelidi is a graduate of the Architectural School of Patras, while Stella Papazoglou has graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. They both continued their studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL in London, where they met. At this point their common route began, academically at first, following small professional steps until reaching the decision of creating their own studio. The studio is based both in Athens and in Thessaloniki, also performing in the Cycladic Islands.
They operate in a large range of design and construction, making sure to maintain strongly the relation between the above. They believe in authenticity and originality, which can be achieved by always using unique ways of manufacturing, resulting to a design true to itself.
Their main design scale is the residence one and the one of the small hotel complex – combining this with custom constructions in order to meet the different needs of each project.
For Polisgram Architects, ideas should not be separated from the actual work and the main way to express those ideas in context is by introducing new design qualities combining them with the sense of materiality.
Every project aims to create a unique aesthetics incorporating local craftmanship and new technologies.
