buno is a young and lean studio of architecture, design, and research. We strive to work in multiple scales and to cross imagined boundaries within the practices of design. Fundamentally, what we do is creating spatial/formal/material solutions for certain problems or realities.

The issues of affordability and limited space are always ones of many common realities we have to confront. In a way, living small is also a part of the bigger question of sustainability, to which minimum dwelling is unmistakably one of the most obvious answers. However, unlike living plenty—living small requires more creativity, discipline, and mindfulness in spatial design. This is where our work comes in.

Towards the sustained futures, we believe that another superficially and carelessly “insane” design is no longer needed. We need more “sane” architecture & design. We need more sanely good solutions, conscious and responsive primarily to the urgent and collective need of societies and our eco-systems. One that substantiates a smart utilization of resources and energy. One that touches the Earth lightly.
